The Captured Conversation is inspired by the words exchanged between Dante and Virgil, in the first Canto of the Divine Comedy; Virgil, Dante's guide, tells him to be strong for the adventure ahead.
The little vessel symbolises the immortality of these words, which Dante will carry with him on the difficult path ahead.
