Alighieri is a collection of jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’; each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. As the pilgrim journeys through the realms of Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise, he encounters mythical creatures, scraggy landscapes, and terrifying demons.
Alighieri will be donating 10% of online sales to Refuge, helping women and their children overcome domestic abuse. Your orders are being packed by hand with love, as fast as possible.
The Stones of Light
Through exploring the meaning of security, identity and refuge in a modern world, Rosh Mahtani and Carol Woolton of British Vogue, collaborate on a collection of jewellery aimed to promote an inner sense of calm and stability.
In conjunction with the Launch of Carol’s book, The New Stone Age, which celebrates the talismanic, grounding and protective nature of crystals and stones, the collection fuses signature Alighieri molten gold castings, with precious stone fragments.
Each piece in the collection contains Lapis Lazuli, Garnet and Malachite which are delicately placed in the shape of a pyramid. This three-part symbolism represents the evenly balanced stability we desire in daily life.
These unearthed amalgamations of treasures are each slightly unique and forge a sense of self that is completely individual to the wearer. Worn as an emblem of courage on your journey, and something tangible to rely on, these pieces are an everyday touchstone for the modern age.
A limited run of 33 pieces of each style are made, in correlation to the 33 poems in each canto of Dante’s Divine Comedy
